4. 04Know what the linked desktop can doYou get the full chat list, media and documents, labels, quick replies and away messages — everything the phone app has, on a keyboard. What you do not get is anything the app itself lacks: no scheduled sending, no campaign tool, no assignment of a chat to a colleague, and no second person working the same number at the same time. The desktop makes one person faster; it does not make the account multi-user.
5. 05Fix the common failuresIf the code will not scan, refresh it — they expire in about a minute — and raise the screen brightness. If chats load but stay stuck on "syncing", give it a few minutes on a good connection; a large history takes a while the first time. If the desktop keeps logging out, check Linked devices on the phone: the phone must come online at least once every fourteen days or links are dropped. And if you cannot see Linked devices at all, update the app.
